2022 was a good year for occupational pension schemes for many companies. Funding levels have often risen significantly. At the same time, however, unexpected risks in the form of inflation and investment risks have become apparent. In addition, there is the question of securing the funding levels achieved or dealing with pension obligations in M&A transactions. The buyout through use of a pensioner company addresses these risks and provides a sustainable structure for pension liabilities of retirees and former employees.
